School Profile

Sunbeams is an English medium co-educational school. It maintains a very high standard in its academic delivery and students’ performance. It follows the British curriculum leading to International GCSE and A’ Level Examinations.

Students are enrolled in Playgroup at the age of 3+ years. Students appear in International GCSE Examination at the end of Class X, and International Advanced Level at the end of Class XII conducted by the British Council, under EDEXCEL EXAMINATIONS. Bangladesh studies, English Language B, Bengali and Mathematics B are compulsory subjects. In addition, students are expected to take 2-5 more subjects. The optional subjects offered are: Accounting, Biology, Business Studies, Chemistry, Computer Science, Economics, Further Pure Mathematics and Physics.

For IAL, students are offered the following subjects: Accounting, Biology, Business, Chemistry, Economics, Further Mathematics, Information Technology, Law, Mathematics, Mechanics, Physics, Pure Mathematics and Statistics.

The School body is approximately 1000 students from Playgroup to Class XII. Each class is divided into three sections to ensure the optimal teacher to student ratio.
