ReLeaf, a social business started by Shebonti Khandaker (XII), Sejal Rahman (XII), Ramisha Kabir (Alumnus) and Rayeeda Siddiqui (Alumnus) as well as Raiaan Khan of University of British Columbia, has been selected by the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) and the Government of Bangladesh as one of the 5 winners of its Youth Co:Lab program for Bangladeshi startups, in partership with Citi Foundation.

Details on Youth Co:Lab —
Co-created in 2017 by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the Citi Foundation, Youth Co:Lab aims to establish a common agenda for countries in the Asia-Pacific region to empower and invest in youth, so that they can accelerate the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through leadership, social innovation and entrepreneurship. It is the largest youth movement for empowerment, equality, social inclusion and social justice in Asia and the Pacific.

Our win was announced by ICT Minister Zunaid Ahmed Palak (53 minutes into the awards ceremony)

Sunbeams will be accepting online applications for Playgroup 2021 ONLY from 1 – 31 July 2020. Interested parents are requested to email [email protected]

(subject heading: “Playgroup Admission 2021”) with the following information:

(1)  Letter of interest expressing why they wish to admit their child into Sunbeams,

(2)  Photo of child taken in last 3 months (colour, jpg format),

(3)   Scanned birth certificate of child (pdf format),

(4)   Relevant details of both parents including profession, educational qualifications, etc,

(5)  Phone number, current home address, email ID.

Admission for other classes in Sunbeams is closed for Academic Year 2020-2021.
